 Punjab
is situated in the northwest of India, it is bordered by Pakistan on the
west, the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir on the north, Himachal Pradesh
on its northeast and Haryana and Rajasthan to its south.Climate Punjab has three major seasons. Hot weather starts from April to June when temperature rises as high as 110 F; Rainy season from July to September; Cold weather from October to March. Temperature goes down as low as 40F. General Overview Punjab located in the north part of India, stretches to 50,362 square kilometers, just to the south of mesmeric state of Jammu & Kashmir. Punjab has a prominent place in the economic and industrial map of India. Known as the 'Granary of India', Punjab reflects a progressive economy and has become a land of boundless opportunities, offering distinct advantages for investment and industry. Punjab is the farmhouse of India, and since the recent liberalization of India's economy, Punjab has started making its mark on the global business mainstream. Blessed by nature's abundance and vibrancy of its people, Punjab is a land of five rivers, fertile soils and constant achievements. Punjab has a strong infrastructure as compared to other states in India and its proximity to Delhi (national capital) makes it one of the most easily accessible states in India. The state is also provide easy access to the Himalayan states located north of India.

Punjab is a leader in the filed of manufacturing machine, hand tools; printing & paper cutting machinery; auto parts and electrical switchgear. The state also provides more than 75% of the country's requirement for bicycles, sewing machines, hosiery and sports goods. At par with the highest quality standards in the world, these products have carved a niche for themselves in markets across the globe. Punjab is rapidly moving up in production of engineering goods, pharmaceuticals, leather goods, food products, textiles, electronic goods, sugar, machine tools, hand tools, agricultural implements, sports goods, paper and paper packaging. Geography Find Punjab on the globe at 29'30'' N to 32'32'' N latitude and 73'55 E to 76'50 E longitude. Four rivers, the Ravi, Beas, Satluj and Ghaggar flow across the state in a southwesterly direction. They have numerous small and seasonal tributaries. In addition, Punjab is watered by an extensive canal system.

Amritsar
- Amritsar is a immersed in history. Known as the centre of Sikh
culture and spirituality, Amritsar is also associated with Hindu epic
Ramayana. Today's Amritsar dates back to the 15th century. Since the
city has come a long way and today it is not only the most revered Sikh
