Tapkeshwar
Temple - The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has obtained its
name due to the fact that droplets of water from a rock fall on a "Shivling".
The location is serene and prompts the visitors to feel the thrills.
Shahastradhara - Literally meaning "Thousand
springs", the picnic spot is picturesque due to the presence of the
numerous water bodies. There are sulphur springs and a 9 m high
waterfall that has created a cave, that make a discernible scenario.
Laxman Siddh - The pilgrimage renowned for a sage
undergoing penance; Laxman Siddh is a picturesque location for a quite
tour, just 12 km away from the City.
Rajaji National Park - The best way to get amidst the
wild animals, the Rajaji National Park is a wildlife enthusiast's
delight with 23 mammal and 315 avi fauna species.
Other important tourist locations include Santala Devi Temple,
Lachhiwala, Tibetan Temple, Chandrbani and Malsi Deer Park etc.
Bazaars - The City's woollens have always been a
favourite with the shoppers from around the world. The main shopping
place is the Paltan Bazaar, which is flanked by a clock tower and many
eateries. The Bazaar is flocked by many tourists who search for many
things including dresses, woollens and other branded items etc.
Other shopping areas include Sahakari Bazaar, Rajpur Road Market and
Astley Hall etc.

Asan Barrage Water Sports Resort - Popular as the
Dhalipur Lake, the Assan Barrage Water Sports Resort is a favourite
destination of the adventure enthusiasts. Facilities for Canoeing,
Skiing and Kayaking are available while the migratory birds visiting the
Resort are the special attractions for the wildlife lovers.
Clement
Town - Visit the Clement town to have a view of the huge Tibetan
settlement; along with a watch of the Tibetan monasteries, splendid
stupas and a meditation centre. The place is almost a mini Tibet and one
could easily feel the thrill of Tibet without even visiting the country.
Connectivity
Air - The Jolly Grant airport is the major airport in
the region which is just 24 km away from the main city.
Rail - The railway terminals at Dehradun and
Rishikesh are the major railheads connecting the City to other major
railway stations of Ind
Roads - Well laid motor-able roads exist that
connects the City to Meerut, Chandigarh and Delhi.

Madhuban, Dehradun are quite good to stay while having a tour of Dehra
dun.
